The name Geysir comes from the 18th century and and is described as an unusual natural phenomenon. The final destination, Gullfoss waterfall, astounds with its powerful two-tiered cascade. The waterfall is known for its immense power and the rainbows that often form in its mist on sunny days. Gullfoss in Icelandic means Golden Waterfall and is the largest volume waterfall in Europe making it on the top 10 list on World of Waterfalls.
